Core Values Statement. (What we hold most dear)
Our core values are:
The Presence
“The LORD replied, ‘My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.’ Then Moses said to him, ‘If your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here.’” – Exodus 33:14-15
We are a presence-based ministry, desiring that all we do would flow from the place of hosting God’s manifest presence in our worship and our walk. Hosting God’s presence, and leading others there is not simply a means, but our end: our ultimate goal and our great reward.
The Cross
“For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God” – 1 Corinthians 1:18
Our model of ministry is that of Jesus Christ, who shed His own blood so that we could have life. The message of God’s radical grace is the central focus of all we do. We seek to respond to the finished work of the cross through grateful worship, and by taking up our cross daily and follow His example (Luke 9:23).
The Word
“Then he opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures.” – Luke 24:45
All Scripture is God-breathed, and is living and active (2 Timothy 3:16, Hebrews 4:12)! Furthermore, we view God’s word as inerrant and authoritative over the life of the believer. It is uniquely inspired by the Holy Spirit. Those who believe in Scripture are drawn into a closer relationship with God through meditating upon and obeying His Word.
The Call
“As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received.” – Ephesians 4:1
Every believer is called by God. God gives each believer a general calling to righteousness and joy as He draws each one closer to himself. Additionally, God gives certain unique gifts to each believer. We seek as a community to help each believer in our care to mature in his or her own identity as a child of God. We strive to equip each believer in his or her own unique calling using hands on practice, prayer and teaching from the Word of God. Our goal is to hear the voice of God clearly and walk in His path as we seek to bring the Kingdom of God into our areas of influence.
